I was so excited when my Delta Gamma Sorority little sister emailed to say she was coming to town and wanted to do a family session here in New Orleans!  She lives all the way up in Virginia Beach now so I haven't seen her in ages.  It was my first time meeting her wife Constance and her two boys, who are so hilarious.  They are the most photogenic family ever, so family pictures in the French Quarter were a breeze.  It was amazing to reconnect and see how much our lives have changed in the two decades since college -- she's got two beautiful boys, and I was a thousand months pregnant when I shot this. :) I love that Jess hasn't stopped seeking out photographers to capture her family, even with her boys getting older.  I know life gets so hectic and it feels impossible to make time for family portraits, it feels like the kids are not changing so much so you can skip pictures this year, etc...but then you blink and they've gone from 11 to 16 years old, and are halfway out the door to adulthood.  Don't let these tween years pass you by, folks!  They're just as important as baby pictures!
