I recently had 22 members of an extended family in the studio to capture something their matriarch had been wanting for years: a portrait that included her and her husband, their four children, AND all of their grandchildren. She wanted a clean white background, casual dress, and bare feet - all things we love at our New Orleans photography studio! 

This type of portrait, with so many people, usually takes a composite to make sure everyone is looking their best. The final image here is a combination of 11 different photographs! 

In our Multi-Generation Family Sessions, we also include time with each nuclear family unit, and usually time with special groups, such as cousins together, grandchildren with grandparents, all the generations of girls together and all the generations of boys together, etc. 

Our clients planned to have a beautiful wall portrait of their whole family and an album of images from this session, and we delivered beautiful images that they loved and cried over at their Viewing + Ordering Appointment.

Multi-generation family sessions are so much work, but they are always worth it!
